The colours are outstanding, so why not teach them to your little one?
Talk about the different colours, their position on the stacking peg (e.g. The red one is on top!)
Talk about top, bottom, middle, little, big, etc.
Use concepts like 'first' when talking about what you are going to do next (e.g. First I will put the red ring on the stick, then I will put the purple one on)
Continue to talk about first, second, third, etc.
As your child gets older, have him or her follow your directions-'Put the red ring on first', and gradually make them more difficult 'Put the green ring on before the yellow ring'
Such a simple but great toy for teaching colours, concepts and following directions
